The First Day.....

School is back in session after a fun but "whirlwind" kind of summer! Everyone around here was excited to get back to school....but none of us got to the "excited" stage until the week before it was time. Summer for me was GREAT. I love being with my boys, love lounging around the house in our PJ's if we want to, love getting to see people and just hang out at the pool, love vacations, just love it. But I also love, love, love some structure to my days....so fall 2010 is looking just grand. Tyler and Colby both have GREAT teachers (or so it seems on Day 3 of school!) and we are excited to see what blessings are in store for them this year. We always pray quite a bit especially during the summer for whomever the Lord has picked to be a big influence in our boys' lives....the Lord is always faithful to give them just who they need at that particular season of life. Time is marching (or running!) on - it seems to fly quicker and quicker every year!! Hold on tight!

Blessings!

I was going to post something about this blog being "under construction"...but by the time I could get home from my friend, Emily's house to post....it apparently is no longer under construction, but DONE! Good job, sweet Emily! I'm thankful for friends who use their talents to bless others (or just to make their friend's simple wishes come true...he!).

Mr. Fluffy Pants

We have a new family member. The smallest family member by far...a tiny little baby dwarf hamster named Mr. Fluffy Pants! We have a friend who's hamsters had babies (unexpectedly) so they offered to give us one of them plus the Daddy's extra cage that he had to stay in while all the babies were little. So, a free pet, free habitat, easy maintenance and doesn't make lots of noise...DONE. Plus, to be honest, I've always been a "rodent lover"...especially as compared to a fish or reptile lover. Mr. FP (I get tired of typing that long ol' name) has a cute little face - he is just so tee-tiney!! The highlight of our day today was putting him in his new hamster ball and watching him scoot all over the floor. Giggle, giggle, giggles from the boys! So, welcome Mr. Fluffy Pants - best of luck to you in this crazy house full of boys!!
