Giggley, giddy Colby leads the prayer

Below is our school director, June, sharing some sweet words with Colby after the graduation. She blessed him with her words . . .very sweet moment.
We were supposed to close on our new house Friday morning, but a paperwork glitch prevented it. Lord willing, we will close this coming Friday so we can start MOVING IN!! The nice thing about NOT closing was that we had all day Friday to pack! And can I just say that my parents are packing MACHINES?!? Mom had most of my kitchen packed up by afternoon, and had the entire playroom done by Saturday. Dad emptied the storage barn, patched up nail holes, took out shelving that we are taking . . .just all sorts of stuff. We did meet our realtor at the new house for a chance to show it to my parents, plus I wanted to see it again as well. It had been a long time and I needed a peek!
On Saturday, we had our last t-ball game, and the boys loved playing, having snacks, and getting their all important trophy! From there, all the kids had naptime, then we were off to the Head farm in Cleburne for a time of fishing and hot dog roast. All 3 boys LOVED fishing (Colby loved it the most and caught the biggest fish), and hot dogs were a fun treat as well. Brady was brave enough to take a ride with Uncle Aric on his 4 wheeler, and LOVED it. We just all enjoy our time out at the farm so much. We are so thankful for our relationship with the Head family . . .they are GREAT to us!!

The Ranger's mascot, Captain, came to the fields for the league's last day. He visited every game, and was having some fun with Colby while Colby waited in the at bat circle!
Nothing better than seeing your kids being loved by your parents, and watching them do some of the same things with your children that you remember them doing with you!
I love this one below of my three little men. They were having a chat about the best techniques to use to catch a fish on your pole. Wise little guys, those Vaughn boys!

I love the picture below of Tyler . . .I love how he strikes a pose for every picture I take of him. He's such a hoot - he's growing up way too fast.
Sunday was Mother's Day, of course, and it was extra special since my mom was with me. Plus, it was Monica's first Mother's Day, so we enjoyed celebrating for lots of reasons and lots of moms. We had a great time together at church, then at lunch. Then we had our annual Care Group Mother's Day night out with several moms from Care Group. Yummy dinner together, great conversation, Starbucks time, and more good conversation. I'm thankful for my mom, my sister, and for my mom friends this year!

Great weekend. Probably not much in the near future with closing, moving, etc. I'll surface again sometime from some new location! Blessings!

Excited to be ON THE WAY OUT OF TOWN!!

I think we counted over 30 deer passing through behind the house. They were beautiful to watch!
I love scrapbooking with Tami! Denise and Kim weren't interested, but they let us have our fun and didn't complain one bit!
