My reading buddy . . .

All year Colby has been telling me about his "reading buddy" who is a third grader at his school. I think they get together at least once a week and read a book - she helps him pick out words he knows I guess? Anyway, I got to meet the famous Mahaley last weekend at a school "block party". She was cute and kinda gushed about how cute she thought my Colby was. Should I worry that older girls think my middle man is cute and precious?? I've heard it a lot from some of Tyler's classmates and girls at church. . .foreshadowing of the future maybe? He IS pretty cute. Ok, REAL cute.

And speaking of the schoolwide "Block Party", we thought it was pretty fun. Radio Disney was there, they had a couple of bounce houses, Library book fair, teacher dunking booth, burgers and hot dogs, and there was a raffle area with lots of cool things the kids could put $1 tickets into. Of course, once they picked something to put their ticket into, Tyler and Colby really assumed that meant they would get it. Not so much. That was a bit of a disappointment, but we got over it thankfully! I giggled at one point watching all 4 of my boys in stunned silence as a bunch of girls kicked it up with Radio Disney doing a Hannah Montana line dance (from the new movie I'm assuming). I mean, their mouths were open, eyes fixed, faces very serious - I just wonder it they had never seen people dance in a choreographed pattern or something?? I had to snap a picture from their viewpoint, then of the group - even though neither one does the scene justice. It just made me giggle. Especially because they usually (well, the 3 little Vaughns anyway!) bust into random dance moves when they hear ANY kind of music. But this? This reaction was not them.

Oh, these boys make me laugh!! Blessings -
